About Ella Sadler

I'm Ella, a BA Digital Media and Society graduate from the University of Sheffield, graduating in July 2025 with a passion for content creation, social media strategy, and fan culture. My work sits at the intersection of creativity and community, where digital storytelling meets cultural relevance.

I specialise in creating content that resonates. Whether managing a fan account with short-form videos reaching over 500k views, or developing campaigns built on authentic engagement, I understand the language of the internet because I’ve grown up immersed in it, both personally and academically.

Skills and Experience

  • Content Creation: TikTok videos and Instagram Reels using Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Social Media Management: Experienced in running high-engagement Instagram and TikTok accounts, trend-responsive content, analytics, and scheduling.

  • Digital PR & Media Strategy: Work experience with BBC Live Lounge, and collaborations with HMV and Academy Music Group.

  • Cultural Insight: Academic research focused on fandoms, youth culture, and identity in digital environments.

  • Creative Production: Music photography, zine-making, visual storytelling, and live event coverage.

  • Photography: Specialising in live music, events, and behind-the-scenes content. Artists photographed include IDLES, Architects, Self Esteem, Nova Twins, Enter Shikari, Beabadoobee, and Skunk Anansie. Work published by Fender, The Portsmouth News, and Strong Island Magazine.

  • Editorial & Interviewing: Produced independent music zines featuring artist interviews (e.g. Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari). Written theatre reviews with a focus on cultural storytelling and live performance critique.

My Process & Inspiration

My creative process is shaped by my lived experience within online fandoms and my academic grounding in media theory. I’m curious about what drives digital engagement, what builds loyalty, and how online spaces become both personal and collective.

I'm inspired by:

  • Fan communities and their capacity to create meaning and connection

  • Youth and internet culture

  • Feminist and queer media theory

  • Live music and the energy of shared experiences
